How the West Was One

Whelp, we knew this day was coming. Today, this little man turns one. We survived! He survived! So many things to celebrate! The first year seems to be definitely about the parents; marking its completion acknowledges just how much went into keeping everyone reasonably happy, thriving, and stocked with bananas and graham crackers.

This little guy is such a sweet, loving, passionate, generous addition to our family; I couldn't be more in love with him. Sometimes, I find it overwhelming. When he's not learning to walk- and it's official! He fully started today! - sussing out anyone in the kitchen who might provide snacks, or cheerfully hiding small toys all over the house, he's reading books, snuggling, and guzzling down ounces and ounces of milk. If you're looking for a cheat sheet, look no further!

So yeah. Today, we'll have some cake, soak in some sunshine, and just have a good time. I leave you with some more adorable pics, both of my good sir and of the best, most empathetic and genuinely joyful big sister there's ever been.
