There’s no shortage of organizers out there, and it’s not a big industry for nothing. A first world problem it may be, but keeping track of our clutter and commitments can seem like a full-time job. And when you live in tight quarters, on a small budget or with others, be they friends or felines, things can get, uh hairy, fast. I’m a big proponent of organizing how it makes sense for your life. So no advocating for giant plastic tubs if you live in 400 square feet, or color-coordinated anything if you don’t have a closet. By the same token, sometimes too much space becomes an invitation to engage in slash-and-burn living: you exhaust the capabilities of one space by dumping all your crap there and then just move onto the next. As with home refreshing, sometimes reorganization can be as simple as a fresh set of eyes and some good tricks. I pride myself on low-cost but good-looking organizations systems, for your desk, your pantry, or your whole home.
