This isn't the most exciting of updates, but in the interest of completeness, here're a couple of shots of how the bathroom is looking before we head out to our place. Things are largely similar as our before photos (here) - but we actually worked hard to keep them streamlined and contained in such a small space - and one so lacking in storage space.
The pedestal sink offers no help, so we just tried to keep things neat under there. For those interested, that's our knee board hanging on the wall (on a Command hook), the trashcan (obvs), Lou's stool for hand washing and our scale.
The over-toilet cabinet and medicine cabinet do alright, of course, but they only allow for so much. We worked to increase the storage by using the space up top. That file box (from Target a million years ago) holds extra toilet paper, next to a room diffuser and my popsicle sticks (for my DIY sugar waxing). To make use of the visible storage at the bottom, we put cotton balls and swabs in glass candy jars. A little bowl of matches and candle sit between the tissues and the jars; we don't use the candle in there, of course; but neither do we put matches out in too obvious a spot to invite Lou to experiment.
And, that's our little bathroom update. The next bathroom we call our own will be about this size, so I'm glad we had a practice run. one thing I think we'll repeat: all that white. It makes for a more serene bathroom, no?
