Hey y'all. It's Friday, and first, apologies for not posting Wednesday. You guys have been so supportive during this post-Wesley period, and I really appreciate it. As I noted on Monday, I plan to actually start posting more going forward - aiming for 4 times per week to start - but, ironically, I've been super busy working on projects and ramping up, so I didn't post the bathroom "reveal" Wednesday like I'd intended.
The thing about the bathroom: What started as a new shower curtain has morphed into a Thing, and that in turn has bled into the entire house. I'm working on little "refreshes"/baby-fying/mommy-fying most of the rooms in the house, plus CLOSETS like crazy. Meanwhile, I've made a lot of progress on getting things back into an acceptable state, including crossing some things off my To Do list, and it all combines into a calmer me...but a busy one!
But anyway: This happy holiday Friday brings you an awesome quick tip I spied on the Internets: Hang an extra shower curtain rod over your tub to hang things to dry. This is genius. As soon as I spotted it, I took myself to the discount store, purchased this one for $6, and have been loving it ever since. 'Tis the season for sopping swimsuits and towels, so it's already pulling duty there, but it's also really handy for hanging cleaning cloths and DIY Swiffers to dry after I've rinsed them. I deliberately hung it a few inches lower than the other rod so you can't see it when the shower curtain is closed.
And, can you spy the sneak peeks of the bathroom? The shower curtain, aforementioned, obvs. Also the little air plant terrarium:
It's totally fake, because it's coffin-dark in my coffin-sized bathroom, but I love that it adds the suggestion of life. I've also decided art, an elephant and spray paint were necessary...so I'm actually still working on this bad boy today! Every time I think it's done I look around and decide there's something else to do. Which seems a tad silly for a 2 x 3 space. Then again, there's a fair amount of time just spent staring at the walls in there, so might as well make them pretty, right? So stay tuned: Monday's the bit reveal of this small space! And there's so much more where this all came from.
Have a great weekend, eat some barbecue, get a sunburn and I'll see you Monday!
