Frieeeennnds. I am so, so sorry for ghosting on you these past, er, several weeks. We've been having what can only be described as a blast over here, but after thinking hard about it, I decided it's time for a little summer vacay. Lou is off for the summer and we're not doing any camps; we're traveling a lot; and I need to play catchup, both in blogging projects and in doing some overhaul and revamping of the blog.
I am in love with this blog. I'm not leaving you. We're just taking a little break-sy to enjoy the summer and get things done. So far, we've perfected a new smoothie recipe, painted some furniture, upgrade some thrifty finds, organized some closets, and engaged in some frugal fun around town. Oh! And had an incredible bachelorette party for my friend, the vegetarian menu of which will be guest-posted by my friend and cook-extraordinaire, Liv.
I have to say, it's also been a really tough week for the country and the world, and it's hard sometimes to blog about my new throw pillows when I'm crying through the news broadcast. I want to savor my family and work out the best way I can be a part of the solution, and luckily, my boss is a real gem, and she said I can take some time for doing all that.
We leave for Montana next weekend, and we'll spend a couple weeks Yellow Stone-ing, swimming, fishing, smoresing, and prepping for an amazing backyard wedding on the banks of the Gallatin River. I'm, like, a little excited.
Thank you for checking in, please don't leave us forever, and I'll see you after labor day. Love ya!
